awakening

in my dreams
i fall in love
i fight fires
i hear strange and beautiful music
i laugh
i fear for my life
i see people long forgotten
and those i've never met
there are places
often visited
and vistas beyond imagination
i feel touched by kindness
angered by injustice
i am rich
i stuggle to survive
i witness death
i defy gravity
i cry at immense sadness
i live lives not mine
